CV Joints and Axles
The CV joints and axles used were selected for their performance and price...
The inner CV joints are the same Ford CV Joints used
in the Thunderbird / Lincoln rear suspension. When you source your differential,
make sure to get the inner CV joints too...
The outer CV joints are Front CVs from Chevy S10 4WD
trucks.
The hub / bearing assemblies are also Chevy S10 4WD front units. Since these
are Chevy components, the standard bolt pattern is 5 on 4 3/4"
In order to provide wheel bearings for the popular 5 on 4 1/2" bolt pattern,
Team321 stocks modified bearings with the 5 on 4 1/2" bolt pattern for those
wanting the Ford / Chrysler bolt pattern. Please specify the bolt pattern
for your build ( 5 on 4 3/4" or 5 on 4 1/2" ) and we can provide the
proper wheel bearings.
A complete axle assembly consists of the Inner CV Joint, the Outer CV joint
and the axle shaft... The axle shafts are made specific to your required
track width.
