Custom Fabrication Options
The image below shows the rear suspension installed in a
'35 Ford Chassis. The yellow lines highlight the main structural tubes
running longitudinally in the IRS center section. These same tubes are
shown in the second photo below... The point of highlighting these tubes
is to show how the IRS is tied into the '35 Ford outer rails.
These upper and lower tubes ( the ones highlighted in yellow)
are the main structural components of the center section. They are fabricated
from 1 1/2" round tubes... Let us know if your design calls for square
tubing or a specific spacing or any custom design.
Our Independent Rear Suspension design is modular in construction
- which means the center section can be fabricated for your special application
- while maintaining the proper suspension geometry, control arms, etc.
The images below show two similar designs for the center section... these
are for illustrative purposes only... The point of these two images is to
show that we can fab the center sections to your specifications... which
translates to the IRS fitting your specific application...
For pickup trucks or other chassis with a way to box-in an upper
frame, here is another configuration:
The image above shows a "Rear View" of an alternate
Center section design... Only the Driver's side suspension pieces are attached
in this shot... but you get the idea as to how the center section can be
adapted to your particular needs. The Rectangular tubes above are 1 1/2"
x 3" .120" wall rectangular tubing, but virtually any available steel
shape / size can be used in this application. If
you can spec it - we can build it...
